With Australia and New Zealand as one of the GEF's participating regions, the National Geographic Society and its local NGS-appointed international advisor, Dr. Tim Flannery, are looking for outstanding projects or project leaders in this region.

This program provides a unique opportunity for locally affiliated projects to potentially receive project funding and access to NGS' media outlets—extensive outlets that can provide an impressive forum in which to share your project's findings with people throughout the world.

The GEF also works to identify local program donors, developing relationships with individuals, foundations, or corporations who might support the work of local individuals or projects. This sponsorship provides donors with the opportunity to support valuable work that's affiliated with Australia and/or New Zealand , while offering the advantage of association with a worthy project or program.
